Today I'll be showing you how I style my Dr Marten Shoes! :)
I have worn my shoes here with a more 'boyish' look. Loose shorts and T'shirt give a more relaxed look with the shoes.
Here I have worn my shoes with a plaid skirt and cropped top. This give the outfit a more feminine and casual feel counteracting the shoes which have a more formal and masculine.
I like to wear my Dr Marten shoes with dresses the most. I also love how they look in winter with stockings and a jacket. Again, the dress give a feminine feel as the shoes are quite masculine
It is Chinese New Year this Friday- 31st January!

I love crochet tops and I think they are a perfect addition to girly up any outfit! I own several crochet tops myself but narrowed this styling post to just 3.
Here are some examples of how i style my lace crochet tops.
Girly and Flirty
Cream long sleeve crochet top
Mint denim skater skirt
White low Chucks
This look is girly, flirty and fun and I love how fresh it looks with the pastel colours. I tucked in the top as it was quite long and i prefer the look of it tucked in, but it would look equally as nice with it untucked.
Multicoloured short sleeve crochet top
This look is perfect for throwing over a bikini for the beach or just worn as a casual everyday outfit. It is super easy to wear.
Orange t-shirt crochet top
Black hi-lo dress
Black leather boots
This look is a little more edgy- pairing a feminine top with some black leather boots. The black dress doesn't have to be hi-lo but I thought the difference in length made the look a little different.
Hope you enjoyed my looks as much as I loved taking the photos with my sister for this post! :)
My black sandals are currently my favourite footwear to wear. I will show you two outfits I like to wear them with :)
Dr Marten, Clarissa sandals in black
Yellow high low top
Black fake leather shorts
Two stud bracelets
I choose to wear this with some fake leather shorts and a sheer yellow top because the harshens of the black leather contrast with the flowing sheer and bright yellow of the top. I choose accessories that went with the edgy/rocker feel of the outfit
Windsor Smith, Alabama sandals
Short gunmetal coloured necklace
Navy blue wrap bracelet
I like to wear these sandals with a more girly outfit because the heel and the more pointed and narrow shape of the shoe makes it look more feminine. I choose a flowy dress in a bright colour for the same reason as i choose my yellow top in the previous look, as they contrast. I choose to accessorise it with accessories that would complement the buckles of the sandals
I hope this post gave you some ideas and inspiration!
Today I finished sewing a pair of shorts. I made the shorts out of a crazy print fabric and wanted to show you two different ways I like to style patterned shorts.
This is the pattern I used to make the shorts. It was a pretty easy and straight forward pattern to follow but it took me some time to figure out how to sew the fly.
New Look 6878 (E)
Black Dr Martens
2 Silver Necklaces
I choose a black t-shirt because the shorts have black on them, also to tone down the bright colour. I wore a black belt because I feel like this style of shorts need to be worn with a belt. Following the belt and shoe rule I wore my black boots. I did this mainly because I didn't want to add anymore colours in to the outfit. I wore my favourite silver necklaces to break up the solid black and to match the silver buckle on my belt
Orange cropped T-shirt
This outfit is more monochromatic. With this look I kept it quite simple because of the orange top, I didn't want to add any necklaces or bracelets as I felt like the outfit would be to over the top if i did. I paired it with a brown belt and boots because black would have been to strong against the solid orange t-shirt
Let me know how you would style patterned shorts or if you got any ideas from me!
