Michelle :)
I am a nail polish fanatic and I collect nail polish. I have more than necessary and instead of keeping them in a drawer I have them displayed on my wall. You can get nail polish racks which are made especially for them but I find you can't store as much and they're overpriced. What I've used are spice racks. I got mine from Plastic Box for about $5 a rack. I use the space below to hang my sunglasses and glasses there so I can see them all and grab a pair when I leave the house.

Cloudland is a bar and restaurant in Fortitude Valley, Brisbane. Just went there tonight and the place is amazingly decorated, the service was great and food was so good! Definitely recommend to anyone going to Brisbane for a drink or meal. Affordable and I thought the food and drinks were amazing for the price! http://www.katarzyna.com.au Today I'm going to show you an easy way i like to take my nail polish off. What you need- Nail polish remover Cotton pad 1. Pour some nail polish remover in to the cap, about half way is enough. 2. Rip your cotton pad in to 10 little pieces. 3. Dip the tip of the cotton pad in to the remover. Don't dip the whole thing in as you want it damp, not dripping with nail polish remover. 4. Place the pad on top of your nail and press it down making sure the pad is touching your whole nail 5. If you have very stubborn nail polish like glitter nail polish I suggest wrapping your fingers in a bit of foil so the pad stays wet and can soak of the nail polish easier. 6. Once you can see that the nail polish has been soak off and the colour has come through on the pad (approx. 5 mins) press down on the pad and slide it off 7. Most of or all of your nail polish should now be on the pad and not on your nail. For very stubborn nail polish like glitters, you may have to repeat the process or wipe the left over polish off. I hope you all have learnt something new and for those of you who try this out that it will work for you!

The perfect gift for your loved one when on a budget is always a DIY. This is one of my favourite DIY's to give to a loved one. You get some popsicle sticks and write date ideas on it for the future. colour code the popsicle sticks according to the price range of the date. Or instead of dates you can write a cute message or IOUs on each stick. Picture from here! If you're willing to spend a bit more on your loved one, you can get a perfume or cologne. I think it's quite sweet to receive perfume/ cologne as a gift as scent can be a powerful memory trigger. Cupcakes are another great gift for valentines day. It's a bit different to the usual chocolates and you can splurge on some expensive ones or make some homemade ones. Making a little hamper is another personal gift for valentines day. Fill the basket with things you know your partner loves, like their favourite snack or drink, a voucher, favourite photo together, a cute little soft toy and anything else that has a personal memory or inside joke attached to it. Image is from here! I hope my ideas have helped you! If you're in a last minute rush theres always the cliché of chocolate and roses! Michelle :) Today I am wearing-

Michelle :) This cute thread necklace is incredibly easy to make. I have put a short tutorial together to show how I have made mine but this is so simple, that you could easily put your own spin on it.
Materials: Embroidery thread 3x charms Jump ring 1. Cut 80-100cm long piece of embroidery thread 2. Put charms on to jump ring and close jump ring 3. Thread jump ring with charms onto thread 4. Knot one end of thread to opposite side and repeat on other side to make necklace adjustable in length, or else you can just knot the ends together for one length. Variations: - Use separate jump ring for each charm - Use more than one thread- try different colours! Hope you liked this super easy DIY and if you come up with any other variations feel free to share them in the comments! :) Kim xo |
